About Meg

Meg loves to dance, practice yoga, teach Zumba, nosh on delicious things, and smush her pups with kisses (the same applies to her cute hubby.) She enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and whenever possible, making her way to the seashore!

Meg grew up in CT, where she danced with Melissa Jean Feder at Terpsichore Dance & Theatre Co, and graduated with a degree in Dance from The Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts. She went on to study Dance, Musical Theatre, and Arts Education at Marymount Manhattan College in NYC, and graduated in 2003.

In 2004, Meg opened Nutmeg’s Dance & Theatre Co. in Southwick, MA, and the dance school is now celebrating it’s 13th year in business!

In 2011, Meg became certified in Zumba Fitness, and has had the most wonderful time dancing with hundreds of wonderful people. She has taught Zumba master classes at The Loomis Chaffee School, Granby’s WOW: Women on the Way Program, and at Up or On the Rocks in Hartford, CT. Staying fit, healthy & happy has never been so much fun!

Meg began practicing Yoga in college, as it helped her stay injury free as a Dance Major with a very strenuous, demanding dance schedule. She continued to practice while she taught Dance and Zumba, and increasingly became more interested in all facets of Yoga and the good it does so many. She loves that it helps calm the mind, restore the body, makes people feel stronger, and offers such a warm, supportive community for so many. In June of 2014, Meg traveled to White Lotus Yoga Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA, where she trained and received her 200 hour YTT certificate with Ganga White and Tracey Rich. It was truly the experience of a lifetime, and she is so excited to embark on this journey and continue to share her love of yoga with others!
